Apartment buildings add steps that houses don't have. Most managed buildings in the Valley want a certificate of insurance (COI) naming the building before movers can enter, and many limit moves to set hours with a reserved freight elevator. Get any of these wrong and the crew waits on the clock.
We ask for your building's move-in rules when you book, send the COI straight to management, and plan the crew around the elevator window. For older walk-up buildings, we count the flights in the estimate and staff the move so stairs don't drag the day out.
What we handle
What it costs
Most studios and one-bedrooms with an elevator move with two movers at $139/hr. Larger units and walk-ups often finish faster, and cheaper overall, with three.
Questions
What is a COI and do I need one?
A certificate of insurance shows the building that the moving company carries liability coverage. Most managed apartment and condo buildings require one before move day. Send us the building's requirements and we'll issue it.
Can you move me within the same building?
Yes. In-building moves are common in large complexes. They run on the same hourly rate and usually fall at the low end of the time range.
What if my building only allows moves on weekdays?
That's common. We work every day, so we'll book within your building's allowed hours.
